Honestly I like this better than 1, and 1 is a great film. 2 just has more going on. More action, more Bill Paxton, more Predator

Regarding the trophy - do you really see any reasonable human willingly chopping up a fellow dead human to give a "trophy" to an alien that killed him? No reason to think the other Predators would be willing to chop off their fellow warrior's head to give to the human that killed him. On the other hand, I was expecting them to give him that alien stabby frisbee as a trophy. Also, the "Baldwin" you were referring to was Adam Baldwin. As you said, not one of the famous Baldwins. He played Jayne on "Firefly" among other things.

2021-05-06 05:14:42 +0000 UTCSo many recognizable people in this one! That's Adam Baldwin who plays one of Gary Busey's men. Morton Downey Jr., Maria Conchita Alonso, Bill Paxton, Danny Glover: tons of cool people. Hell, even Lillian Chauvin shows up. She played the Mother Superior in the notorious 1984 Christmas slasher Silent Night, Deadly Night. I saw Predator 2 as a kid and I was surprised at how good it was, especially as it's a sequel (and without Arnold!). Glover plays a badass cop who's for once not tied down by a goofy Mel Gibson type partner. Stephen Hopkins does an admirable job directing and Jim and John Thomas came up with a quality script. For any SJW types out there, this is an eclectic (not gonna use the D-word) cast done right. Good actors of many different types, who are cast because they're good at their jobs and no other superficial reasons, working together to make a cool film. And it's from 30 years ago, what they're doing these days in Hollywood is neither new or admirable. Predator 2 isn't as great as the original but it is a worthwhile sequel that does something different rather than just go back to the jungle for the same thing over again. I really enjoyed watching it again along with this video. Good stuff!

2021-05-05 20:17:25 +0000 UTCThe main actor is DANNY Glover, not Donald. Donald Glover plays Lando Calrissian in the Star Wars Solo movie. 😁 And that gun from 1712 the Predators gave Mike should be worth a couple of million dollars. That's trophy enough. Haha 😃

The “trophy wall” scene is exciting for what it implies and I’m a huge fan of the Alien and Predator franchises but the payoff to put them together is incredibly poor and campy. I would recommend to avoid AVP unless your really, really bored.
