War Movie Poll!

Help pick the War movie we will react to!

Please feel free to suggest other options in the comments for future polls!

NOTE: I have seen Black Hawk Down (2001) & We Were Soldiers (2002), so similar to Terminator, this will be Samantha's first time watching.

Comments

Comedy/War movie: Good Morning, Vietnam starring Robin Williams

Nicotti

It's rough. Be prepared.

Sean McDonough

I have seen that! Great movie! Not sure if Sam has though!

TBR Schmitt

I love that movie! Ill have to see if Sam has or has not seen it! Nothing more badass than that one arm boy attacking the other ship!

TBR Schmitt

Thanks for the suggestion! We have never seen it!

TBR Schmitt

Haha good idea!

No list if war movies is complete without The Dirty Dozen (1967). One of the best and most exciting films of it's era.

Steven Montano

Since you've seen "Black Hawk Down"... may I suggest you watch both the poll winner and the second runner up: "Apocalypse Now" ? 😁

Mr. Writhms

And if you're feeling really, really adventurous, the best war movie ever made is Come And See (1985), a Soviet movie about the Nazi occupation of Belarus (which saw the worse atrocities of WW2). Devastating and amazing.

Neal Romanek

I'll keep saying it: The Deer Hunter. Also Gallipoli (1981) is one the best war films ever made - and introduced Mel Gibson to the world.

Neal Romanek

Master and Commander should go on a poll.

Sean McDonough

Maybe consider adding Glory (1989) to future polls

Uncle 'Traveling' Matt

Apocalypse Now is a great war film. So, I will choose this one. However, if this wins the poll, I think you should check out the film Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse. It is a behind the scenes documentary about the making of Apocalypse Now. I liked that film better than the actual movie, and that is saying something with how amazing Apocalypse Now is.
