Link vs Wizzrobe
Added 2020-04-22 09:03:50 +0000 UTCI like the soft-lore of Zelda a lot. What are Wizzrobes? They change from game-to-game. I like to think of them as Elemental, like spirits given form as malevolent spell-casters who serve Ganon. I like the idea that a lot of the monsters are just manifestations of dark 'corruption,' but I also like imagining the Bokoblins and Lizalfos as being an actual race in the world.
I also love the very simple yet addictive loot gathering in BOTW. I'd roll up on any group of enemies I saw just to gang them and steal their stuff, even after fully upgrading my armor. Something about a big stack of diamonds is satisfying to me. I'd even just roleplay Link as a little dwarf-like miner, crawling all over Hyrule just to smash some crunchy ore-deposits, so he can scoop up the gems to horde back at his little house. That's very much my fantasy. Being a dwarf or something, collecting magical gems, occasionally fighting monsters.

My fantasy thing is being a blue mage, learning about monsters to copy them via strange magics and thus I'm forced to confront more if I want to get stronger.
