Kee-Va vs. Snake-Lady

So now that I'm finally getting back into drawing Kee-Va and Brule, I figured I should dig this WIP up and finish it. I'm not really sure of how it fits into my larger 'lore' of Agartha, since I don't think I like the way the Egyptian elf lady came out, and I don't want her to be considered canon or  anything. She had no name, no character, no implication.

I've thought about making a little sheet or something to explain the 'lore' of Agartha (Kee-Va's world), but I can't decide on some things. The biggest thing I can't decide on is if the world is flat, like a disk-world, or if it's inside a planet, like an inverted hollow world. Like Halo. I also don't really want to do it because I prefer when lore gets handled very, very, very loosely, or very, very, very subtly. I like the way Dark Souls handles its lore, because other than a few named items and clues in the environment, it actually doesn't tell you the whole story. It implies. It lets you feel it out for yourself, and since you're the narrator, you can't blame the game when it does create a story which conflicts with you.

I do think I'll make the sheet, but I'll keep it minimal.

Looks very cool.

Master Dragon

I honeslty don't care too much, it may not have been done right theme-wise but its still good to look at with your style. As for world setting, I have always been a fan land that time forgot/ centet of the earth kind if setting. Of course if your not hellbent on originality you could make more like the Marvel's savage land, where the land is actually in an unlikely part of the world, like the north pole where Santa is really a barbarion king and his workers are his slaves.

Yeah doesn't fit but I do think you need to decide on flat world or inverse world with sun and center...I personally like the Flat World. I wouldn't consider that major lore and yeah Bandara is less big bad and more reoccurring rival that teams up against a big bad.

John Smith

Female Humans don't dislike the Monkey Princess. Until they find her jerking off their husband, brother and two sons simultaneously. And she still has the tail free for grandpa too.

I used a reference of Cleopatra that I found on Pinterest. Some generic fantasy concept art. I added the snake tiara though. Snake crowns were a thing in Egypt.

I'll do more 'like' this maybe, but not this.

Although the humans in Agartha are primitive and haven't progressed beyond stone-age technology, I do want to put in some races who are actually are (or were) advanced. Like dwarfs who make metal weapons, or even the Vril-Ya I once talked about, who are like magical demigods. But yeah, this character doesn't fit. I don't think Princess Bandara is even disliked by humans. She's just a rival of Kee-Va's.

Personal opinion, I think you went a little overboard with the elf lady. Perhaps if she was bald or showed off a little more of her scalp? Snakes have no body hair, maybe that's the motif of her people? Just shooting ideas. The gold and jewels are good, but the skin tone and hair are a bit off-putting in my humble opinion.

Also I like her snake-tiara with perfect tiny details. Can I ask, did you design it entirely or used some references? I never saw anything like this. Great job either way!

Ah, but this Elf lady is sooooo awesome. I'm sad she isn't character with a future. I guess it's just me. I'm instantly in love with any strong evil bitch.

The art is nice and there's absolutely nothing wrong with it but conceptually this char seems kind of generic and doesn't seem a part of the primitive world theme, I think you can do better for a big bad villainess :) Also BBBased Bandara doesn't count she's more of the sometimes bad, sometimes good almost always troublesome but not evil archetype I think

As in how loose you are on canon, i think is better than the evil girl just is, i not see anything bad on a few rules, but if that constraint you let it be. The name is already a big step ahead ^^
