WIP: Dwarven Paladin

You might look at this and wonder, "What is this?" This is just a little random thing I drew for myself. I really, really, like dwarves. I like sexy funny characters, and I like fantasy tropes, so I just started drawing this as like a stream-of-consciousness thing. Originally the goat was a boar, but I changed it because I imagined this paladin bouncing around the mountains on the back of a goat. I added the little pink faerie as a very last minute thing, just because I think every fun character needs a fun sidekick. 

As for the hair, SHE'S NOT BALD, I just haven't decided on a hair style yet. I often add the hair last anyway. I should have three or four versions done soon, and I'll be interested to hear which one you guys like the most. 

So who is this character? I don't really know. I sort of let the character develop in my head as I drew her. She's not like Mark, who is a landless wanderer. This girl is a princess, although a really extroverted one, especially for a dwarf (I like the Tolkien idea that dwarves don't leave home unless they're forced to). I think her named would be Beinna (Scottish Gaelic for 'mountain') or Oira (Scottish for golden) or Gara (Scottish for 'short girl'). It has to be a Scottish name. I know that dwarves are from Norse myth, but Scots are basically what Norse/Celtic. 

She isn't a random mercenary/adventurer like Mark is. She has to have some sort of quest, I think. Maybe she left home because she was sick of her mountain-kingdom only acting defensively, as dwarves do. Maybe she figured it would be best to go out into the world and eliminate threats proactively. Goblins, ogres, trolls, witches, dark elves, demons. Whatever she comes across, she smashes it with her big magical rune-hammer.

The sidekick faerie is just a mischievous little pixie who got picked up along the way. A sassy smart-ass to play banter off of. Her name would be Midge, or Pinch, or Wisp, or Foxglove.

The goat is a character too. The dwarf princess's loyal steed, his name would be something like Dur, or Trollsbane, or Chomper, or Stomper, or Tooth-Grinder. He's an ungelded ram, which means he is SUPER HORNY all the time, and will aggressively rape other animals, like the horses of the dwarf princess's enemies.    

I'll probably never develop this character or revisit her. It's just too easy to go back to using Mark and Cadence, but I'd REALLY like to so something more with dwarves.
