Xia Brookside on TNA Contract, X Division, More
Added 2024-05-16 17:00:09 +0000 UTCFightful Select caught up with TNA’s Xia Brookside at the Squared Circle Expo in Indianapolis. Xia discussed various topics with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp.
Sean and Xia began the conversation by mentioning how they have both beaten up Shazza McKenzie and have also been beaten up by Shazza.
Sean said that the last time they spoke, she had hinted that she had something going on but could not comment. Sean mentioned Brookside has since signed with TNA and asked how the signing came about.
Xia said that after she moved to the United States in July, she started to reach out to TNA’s Gail Kim. She asked if there was a spot for her in TNA and manifested for it because that was where she said she wanted to be. Xia says that since she’s got there, she is having the best time of her career.
The former WWE NXT UK Superstar says she has never had so many people believe in and support her in the last four months since joining TNA. Because of the great support she’s received, Xia compares TNA to a family environment.
Xia said that her training in NXT UK has made the experience in TNA more homely. She also said the locker room is amazing, and the crowds are incredible.
Xia would follow up, saying she wants to work with every woman at TNA. Sean specifically brings up Gail Kim, and Xia says she wants to wrestle her, too. Sean mentioned that Gail once threatened to come out of retirement to defeat him.
In closing, Xia confirmed that she has a multi-year deal with TNA and signed it after Hard to Kill. Xia also noted that the Ultimate X match terrified her because she fears heights.
