Alright, the last two times I tried to submit this it didn't work, so here we go again.
This is my first commission for my new Fool as the Fool (they were an Archduke before). This is by far the most time-consuming and challenging single image I've ever made. Drawing 9 figures in a single image isn't as easy as drawing 1 character 9 times. I can draw a single character with lots of detail in a couple hours if I rush it, but everything that goes into one image increases the effort spent on exponentially. i think I spent 5 days on this. I got very frustrated with myself at a few points, and kept trying to fix things but only made them worse. My computer also struggled to handle the size the PSD became as I started putting in colors. I had to retart my computer a couple times and clear the caches.
Was it worth it. I hope so. This is so much better than where I was a year ago, but it still isn't a good as I'd like. Aside from technical ability, I just feel I like a certain dynamic vision that makes larger compositions work. i don't know if that is something you learn or just something your are born with.
