CG art style

So, as the collection of character designs grows, it becomes possible to start getting CGs done. Just for those who may not be familiar with VN parlance, CGs are the static fullscreen art pieces that you get at key moments, typically after reaching key points in a route.

I have no intention of having the characters and their sprites done by anyone else except Tanutanuki, but the CGs are a different matter. Initially I'd planned for her to do those as well, but it was never really finalised. They're much more work than sprites, and her fully-detailed style, while absolutely gorgeous, is time-consuming.

So I'm thinking to instead use multiple artists for the CGs, and let Tanu focus on the sprites. This will mean I can begin commissioning CGs...well, right now. I've got eight or nine character designs in the bag, more than enough to fill out some already-plotted CGs. I'd love to start including one or two CGs in each month's release.

However. That obviously means the CG style will differ, potentially even within the same route. And while I will make sure the quality is consistently high, and characters look like they "should" (no sudden swings from muscled to twink or anything), it just means there won't be total consistency. I don't personally believe that's a problem as long as I choose my artists properly and match character style to their strengths, but still. The ability to parallelise the art will be a huge win, I think; enough to justify the stylistic variance.

So I thought I'd put it to a vote. What do you guys think?
