Character bio #6: Koena

Bio

The forest commune near Paardenrust has some real characters living in it, and it’s hard to say which one would draw the eye first - but there’s a solid chance it would be Koena the crocodile.

He’s big, even for a crocodile. In his forties, with a laugh like a small avalanche, he spends his days swimming, or chatting, or just sunning himself by the lake. The massive smile on his face - and the beer in his hand - would immediately tell you that here’s a guy who knows how to have a good time, and is comfortable where he is. But how he got to Paardenrust is a little murkier.

Ask others in Paardenrust, or even the commune, and they’ll say that Koena has been there as long as they can remember. He wasn’t born in Paardenrust, that they know, but when pressed, nobody will know where he came from. A nearby town, perhaps? Another country?

That’s not to say you can’t discern some hints. Middle-aged spread is clear on his body, but underneath it, there’s muscle; more muscle than you get simply sitting around drinking beers and laughing. He has a steel in his eyes that didn’t get there by itself, and his reactions are a little too quick to be purely natural. But, at the same time, it’s clear the door on his past is shut for good. Not because he’s ashamed, but because he truly doesn’t think it matters anymore.

Not that many even think to ask such questions, because no sooner has Koena arrived to whatever event might be at hand than he steals both the eye and the ear. His true talent, among many lesser ones, is music. The crocodile plays a stringed instrument of his own making: fish-gut strung over a hollowed-out gourd. It doesn’t make complex melodies, but it can sure stick to a key, and the crocodile augments that with the percussive opportunities of his tail: slapping the thick limb against the ground, or a tree, or even a nearby wall ensures a thumping noise that gives any guests a beat to dance to.

Koena lives alone in the commune, and while he never has a shortage of friends to warm his bed, they are only ever friends. He seems to have no desire for any deeper connection.

Character

Koena is a middle-aged hedonist who long ago decided that he didn’t want to keep fighting against life and what it threw at him. He has embraced a philosophy of hedonism, and whatever his past may have contained, his life now is devoted solely to making people feel good - be it himself, or others.

He eagerly embraces new possibilities for pleasure, sexual or otherwise. Crocodiles in this world - as in ours -  have no external genitalia, but a simple slit from whence their penis slides forth. His is similar in shape to an orca, but more rigid when hard, and ridged to boot. It is one of the more unique ones amongst all species, and he has learned to exploit his unique penis in ways that mere mammals cannot.

Kinks & Sexual Ethology

• His reptilian nature has made him particularly attuned to sensations; he likes nothing so much as an unusual feeling. Whether it be a piercing being teased, or the softness of fur against his scales, or the vibrations of a battery-powered toy against his tailhole, he adores it all.
• While he has no family of his own, that doesn’t mean he doesn’t feel the odd twinge. This he channels into role play, and is always eager to indulge in some daddy play with younger males.
• He does not deny the pleasure in a prostate, but he is an unrepentant top with his partners. They may explore all of him with their fingers or tongues, but when it’s time to fuck, “daddy’s in charge”. Koena is a classic dad character, complete with the awful jokes, beer belly, and paternal personality. He has a big heart, and a big dick. While Inkanyamba the dragon features a full set of external genitalia, the crocodile cleaves closely to his natural roots, with only a slit for his penis, and no external balls. The player can explore the opportunities this unusual organ provides.

As a hedonist, and a lover of new sensations especially, the crocodile’s body is a history of past explorations. He possesses several piercings, some tattoos, and has even had the scales around his anus gently abraded, the better to feel the tongues and lips of his lovers.

He is intended to have a mysterious past, and while there will be one way to have him tell you more of it, even that reveal will be partially guarded. He is a representation of a happy zeitgeist, without baggage.
