Clark Connors

Fightful Select had an exclusive interview with Clark Connors of NJPW. Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp got to talk to the Bullet Club member on multiple topics, including his thoughts on Bullet Club Gold, The Elite, and more.

Clark told us we were talking to the OG member of the “new” Bullet Club. He spoke about the plan to get Bullet Club back to its roots.  Clark thinks Jay White is doing what Jay can to stay relevant and in the spotlight at his new company. He also mentioned the same goes for Juice Robinson. Connors would tell Fightful that the only real Bullet Club is in New Japan, led by David Finlay.

Connors believes it is great that people want to continue to use the Bullet Club branding. He mentioned the OC of the WWE and The Elite in AEW. Clark said, in his opinion, The Elite ruined the Bullet Club. He said they made it into something cool for a bunch of otaku nerds. Connors would tell us Bullet Club is about going out, kicking ass, and doing what you want. He said the real Bullet Club is in New Japan.

Sean brought up that when he interviewed Adam Cole about a year ago. Cole said he would like a big Bullet Club group hug; Clark said that’s stupid. He said you wouldn’t see the NWO do that back in the day.

Clark spoke about getting to work in the Independents again; he mentioned he pretty much started at Defy Wrestling. Clark said he built Defy into what it is today.

Clark believes it is inevitable that Bullet Club will defend their titles elsewhere; he named some AEW wrestlers like Darby Allin, Nick Wayne, and others.

He discussed his upcoming match at IMPACT x NJPW Multiverse United 2: For Whom The Bell Tolls. The team Bullet Club features David Finlay, KENTA, Alex Coughlin, Ace Austin, Chris Bey, and Connors taking on The World, which is a team consisting of PCO, Josh Alexander, Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa, El Phantasmo, and The DKC.

Sean would bring up past and present members of Bullet Club members and get their opinions on them. Some wrestlers they talked about were Scott Norton, Alex Coughlin, Bone Soldier, and others.
