Major MLW Injury

Fightful Select has learned that Alex Hammerstone was injured during the War Chamber match that aired on REELZ Tuesday night. The injury caused him to leave the match early, which led to a lot of the planned match to be cut out, including the finish and aftermath.
We're told Rickey Shane Page got a lot of credit backstage and with MLW for adjusting on the fly and making things work. He was brought in to work as an agent as well as a wrestler.
MLW ended up filming an Alex Kane and Davey Boy Smith JR angle to help make up for the time lost due to the abbreviated War Chamber match. Production crew and talent were credited heavily for making it work.
The fear was Hammerstone tore his groin. However, it appears the injury wasn’t as extreme as feared. He’s day-to-day, and was able to work an angle at the Battle Riot tapings.
