Select Portions: Jeff Hardy, Speedball, more

- We're told that Jeff Hardy is still physically recovering from a recent surgery, and there are some alternate plans over the next few weeks that don't involve him wrestling.

- We've asked Billie Starkz if the rumors of her signing are accurate, but haven't heard back yet. There were several talent checking out her Rampage match with Jade Cargill while at Black Label Pro last week.

- Fightful is dropping an interview with Effy this weekend. 

- Fightful’s Joel Pearl caught up with ‘Speedball’ Mike Bailey after GCW’s Worst Behavior event in Toronto, and the two had the opportunity to talk on numerous topics.

Bailey said he “crotched” himself on one of the beams in his match against Masha Slamovich. He said he planned on winning the GCW Championship that night, but it did not go how he wanted. Bailey said he learned a while ago that you do not underestimate Slamovich.

Bailey would discuss IMPACT’s X-Division and losing his title to Frankie Kazarian. Although he said he was on his way up, Bailey said beating Kazarian; he wondered who would have been next for him. He says his ultimate goal was to challenge for the World Championship while being X-Division Champion.

Bailey was asked about his thoughts on teaming up with Jonathan Gresham. Bailey said it was stressful and scary, but the reason why was because they are arguably both the best in the world at the kind of wrestling that they do.

When asked about being banned from wrestling, he said he was not banned from wrestling; he was banned from wrestling in the United States. Bailey would also give us some Canadian Superstars. He named Zak Patterson as someone who is just starting but is fantastic. He also named Alex Maze, Kristara, Matt Falco, and Kevin Blanchard.

Bailey told us that he has many long-term goals, and one thing he wants to build is his Twitch stream. He also mentioned that America has an advantage for professional wrestlers who want to make money, but it’s much more challenging in other parts of the world. Bailey said that the wrestling scene in Canada is doing great.

Joel brought up Veda Scott, who is married to ‘Speedball’ and he talked about how much she cares. He said Veda cares so much, and there’s so much technique, detail, and attention when it comes to commentary.

When asked about the schedule, he said he had five matches booked for Mania Week. He said last year that he wrestled nine, but this year the goal was to keep it to five.
