I have no idea why I was dead set on using a Mayan calendar in this comic, but it took forever to make. The entire comic took 5 and a half hours to make. Over three hours of that was on the calendar.
I found an image of the Mayan calendar stone tablet online and recreated it in a simpler vector format in Illustrator. Then, updated it for pixel art and colored it. Ugh...
