Writing Progress! July Round-Up

As usual, with the beginning of the new month, we look back at writing progress and sales for the previous month. Today is the writing progress! In which I confess that I didn't do much writing at all. The Synopsis project went from "idea" to "almost done" during the month of July, which was surprisingly time-consuming. PG6: From Ruins gained about a thousand words (all of 1% of its estimated total!). And I did some ancillary writing, like the new introduction to the business book. But most of July was consumed by the Dreamhearth launch, which required writing the marketing fluff (so much marketing fluff), coordinating the simultaneous Mindtouch promotion, and formatting (and re-formatting) the e-book.

Other news:

• I am in early stages of arranging a Mindtouch audiobook edition (which would complete the trinity of editions, since it already has a paperback). I'm not sure how fast that will come together, since I'm using a new service to get it done, but we'll see.
• Related, I've started acquiring the audio edition of A Bloom in the North. I'm trying to decide whether to post an hour a month (which is how I receive it), or to wait until it's done and do another 'one hour every other day' deal, like I did with Pearl. If you have an opinion, I'm all ears. :)
• I once again have access to Overdrive, the primary distributor of ebooks to libraries. If you'd like to read my ebooks in libraries, starting next month you should be able to get them (or request that the library add them to their e-book database so you can read them).
• I'm still waffling on which Kickstarter to run. Stay tuned.

So what's up next? My plan is to get into gear for From Ruins, which I want done this year. I have all of five months... that's plenty of time. If I finish early I might mess with something else before starting on Dreamstorm in Q1 of 2018. We'll see how fast the writing goes.

I am doing a lot of sketching, and experimenting with my new dog tag pendants, so you might see some stuff going up on Etsy this month. I will inform you once it goes up... Patreon subscribers will get a coupon, as usual.
