Candle Friday

We've come again to Candle Friday!  I will be going to light one for  intentions later this afternoon. Thanks to last Candle Friday's  watchstanders: Kythryne, Petrov, Maigen, Eric, and Lyssa, along with people who might have done so anonymously. ❤️ Your help is appreciated. Feel free to share your candle photos on the community wall if you wish! I'll make sure people find them. :)

Anyway, today is 'let's take care of one another' day. If you have a need for yourself or others, mention it (in as much detail as you want to share).

Folks on candle duty (helping by praying or holding others in your thoughts), raise your hands! And thank you for volunteering.

Thank you, dear Medic. *cupping the candlelight in my hands*

Thank you very much! --filkferengi

Thank you! We're both pretty chuffed that it actually got in. And when I'm done here they will hopefully have a spot for me in the graduate program I want (which is part of the reason this school was top choice - programs for both of us, in really disparate fields)

A candle with far-flung light for you and your partner, as well as congratulations on selection for the program! May the coming year see you knit together despite the distance!

A bright light for you and Trask, Rowyn. If any further service is needed, you know how to ask! ;-)

For You, dear Grey, a candle well-banked, to give you enduring warmth & a quiet light not only today, but through the week ahead (to be renewed again at the next lighting of candles)!

A candle for Meg, of healing in body and heart (for when so many troubles come calling, it wears on health in many ways). May she have light and warmth!

A candle for safety in travels (as many fledgling dragons are in flight).

A plume of incense smoke for everyone out there.

I too will hold your father in the light.

Candles on all of my altars are lit for those in need.

Thank you. <3 Just the reminder that I'm not going to be entirely alone in this is a balm. It's been rough already and I keep praying that the anticipation is worse than the actual separation

Thank you very kindly. --filkferengi

I am holding Meg in the light of my candle. May her body grow in healing, surrounded by help.

I will hold you in one hand and your partner in the other and hold you both in the light of my candle. May your own lights grow ever stronger, and may your hearts be knit.

I am so glad you were aided!

I am holding your co-worker and her little life in the light of my candle.

Thank you so much. I feel lightened just reading this.

My friend Meg has uterine cancer and a perforated appendix. Additional candles are always welcome. --filkferengi

I could really use some prayers right now. My partner and I are in the process of packing up for a move that will see us living in different cities for the next academic year and.... as proud as I am of my partner for getting into the PhD program it wanted, the long distance relationship thing has never gone well for us.

I'm happy to report for candle duty today! Or incense duty as that's what I'll be lighting tonight. While I can't yet say what it was for, your thoughts and prayers came through last month. I greatly appreciate it and would like to return the favor. My hopes and prayers are with you all.

Here for candle duty! (I can't believe it's Candle Friday already, where is the summer going?) I would like to put in a request for my co-worker, who's been out on medical leave for some time--due to privacy issues, no one will confirm pregnancy, but by the evidence it's been a difficult one. Prayers for her and a good outcome would be much appreciated.

Grey Walker, I will hold your community in the light of my candle. May the light bring you all peace, comfort and healing restfullness over the weekend.

I will hold you and Trask in the light of my candle, Rowyn.

I will hold this dear mother in the light of my candle.

I will hold your father in the light of my candle.

I will lift a candle today. And I need help, as well. I have had a spate of deaths/surgeries/crises in my small community, and we're all feeling simultaneously anxious, agitated, and exhausted.

I will take on candle duty today, and a prayer request for my good friend's mother, who has been in and out of the hospital this summer with partial kidney failure, vertigo and injuries from falling.

Anna O'Connell

I'd appreciate prayers for my partner, Trask. He's in the ICU now and has cancer. Thanks.

Always happy to be on candle duty. A personal request today to keep my father in thoughts; he's still on the hunt for a job and it's really beginning to wear on him. I think today (or at least soon) he finds out about one he's really excited about, so we're all really hoping for something good. We could really use the good news right about now.
