She may be a super hero, but she still needs to use public transportation in her normal civilian life.
And she is quite popular with... well, just about everyone!
As to why she isn't reacting, well, she's a hero! She can't be exerting her energy or waste time with every single thing that goes on in everyday situations! She's got EVIL to fight!
