I think what the story does really well is building up our anxiety on her behalf through the mundane and then skillfully weave it into manifesting in fantastical horror without leaning on evocative or fantastical / graphic horror language. Solidly thrilling.

Doing a relisten before voting and this is thus far my clear favourite for its gripping story of wanting to cheer her on her passions, support her against the mundane oppression of societal norms, and simple mix and crossover from simple fears of worry into supernatural horror.

My absolute favorite concept of all the Rusty Fears I've listen to. Awesome voice talent choice too. Fits perfectly.

Parental fears made manifest. Love it. Fantastic writing from Ian. Also, Shahan has a perfect storyteller voice, he should definitely be hired to read all audiobooks now and forever!

Due to things like the passport indenture system and the fact that "The Line" has already blazed well past Panama Canal levels of worksite casualties and "disappearances."

I don't know if you are aware, but Acast is loading up ads for things like NEOM investment firms on older TMA Episodes (this one I heard on A Father's Love via Spotify), which I'm not sure are things that RQ wants to be associated with. [They advertise Dubai investment firms with "trillions" in "foreign capital", which can only mean one thing.]

I almost got suckered in by the cute beginning, until I remembered what podcast I was listening to and the dread began to build. The father’s hopeless sprint back to their apartment was awful in the best way. Really great work! So much sadder than a lot of Magnus feed stories - I must have some moon dust in my eye

Ransack0894

Damn, that was absolutely beautiful. The father's concern was so well done, I almost forgot it was supposed to be a horror story, so the ending caught me absolutely by surprise.

Grace 'Gengar' Soria

I had my stomach tied into a knot during the whole thing. The entrapment the father IS summited to by how to act about her daughter's fixiation...the supernatural part was actually the less scary bit, AMAZING JOB!

MarlaBothBothIsGood

Very nice Ian! The complexity of fear and support that the father felt was properly smothering. Somebody get that Telescope to Artifact Storage, quick!
