I unfortunately haven't been able to really reach out to any of the return-to-sender aprons yet, but I'm trying to find the time. I'll also be mailing out the handful of October renewals starting next week after Patreon charges out.

INDIEWEEN IS ON!!!!

So by now you've all two, about to be three of indieween videos. The Heartworm video should be live one hour after this post goes live (sorry for all the post spam BTW). The last Dominos are falling into place. The First indieween video is out to the public and I'm probably live on Twitch playing more of the final game in indieween, Bloodthief. Here's what the progress chart looks like right now:

It helps me to have those running totals I've included below since I gotta add it all up at the end of every video. I really gotta figure out how trello works or something like that because this chart thing has been pretty handy for big projects. By the time you're reading this the 4th video will probably have its script go from "in progress" to written since I try to knock these patreon posts out earlier in the morning. I think it's kinda funny that of course the one game I kinda stalled out on so I ended up skipping ahead and now need to come back to it the next video I gotta get out for you, making it all the more urgent. Stalled out maybe isn't the right word, I really just kept wanting to play more of it and ended up putting off the video part of the video and now I'm like "shit, I gotta shut it off and write about this thing."

I think how it's gonna be is that I knock out Tower of Kalemonvo by Friday and get it all up for you while doing the metadata crap for all the other videos on youtube between play sessions of Bloodthief. I had the common sense to boot up the game the other night and play for about half an hour to get acquainted with its controls. That way I'm not blindsided by it when I play it live. It's tricky stuff. Jeez, just getting the game to run can be tricky stuff.

On a kinda related note:

Another improvement I've recently made which had really helped ease the pressure off of finalizing all these videos Is I've finally bothered to make some thumbnail...branding. It's funny, I realize now after I got a consistent amount of comments saying that it was hard to pick out my videos from the homepage. I literally just did this:

I've also got one on the opposite corner and over the top in case that blocks some important visual information. It's funny, everything happened so fast when I got the pandemic boost that I ended up using the missing texture placeholder as a placeholder for my branding based off a one-off joke I made in the video leading up to the Marvel's Avengers video. I never really thought about branding because at the time it felt inauthentic and goofy. I'm catching up on a lot of things I should have had figured out years ago but that's life. I consider myself lucky that I made this whole thing work in the first place even if it was by freak accident. I guess this is all better late than never.

No news on the FNV California Compliance Run, Project Zomboid, or Abiotic Factor since I just haven't really been able to work on those recently.
