Growth Drive Scipt Preview

Well, I've gotten some of the matters regarding my van taken care of. And I've made great progress in getting my Growth Drive launched.

But while I'm working on the pages, here's a quick preview of the script to tide you all over.

Guardian:

I can sense it…the mounting danger across the universe.

A menace that could exterminate all of creation.

The Celestial Champions of old are no longer able to help.

Therefore, I must rebuild!

And create new legions to defend all of creation!

I must search the multiverse!

Search for those with the stuff of heroes…!

…And bring them here...now!

Summons Hinata, Tsunade, Power Girl, Android 18, Tsuyu

Hinata:

Huh?! Where are – Lady Tsunade?!

Tsunade:

What the – what is this, a genjutsu?!

Power Girl:

Great. Teleported to another world. Again.

Android 18:

Sure looks like it. And what's with this crazy temple?

Tsuyu:

Uh…this feels intense.

Tsuyu:

Say, are you a pro hero? Nice costume.

Power Girl:

Heh. Thanks. Most guys seem to like it.

Android 18:

So I'm guessing that none of you have any idea what's going on or how we got here, huh?

Hinata:

Guardian:

Greetings, all of you. I am the Guardian of the Altar of the Celestial Champions. An ancient order of heroes that protected the cosmos from the great many evils that constantly rise up to threaten it.

Android 18:

Oh, great. Here it comes. Looks like we've been roped into some mess with…

What is it this time? A Kai? God of destruction?

Please tell me you have nothing to do with Zeno…

Guardian:

No. I am not associated with any of the nemeses you have faced in your respective worlds.

I know you have many questions, but time is short and there is much to be done. So I will do my all to explain it to you as best as I can.

Across the multiverse, great evil is rising up. Terrible dangers that dwarf anything that any of you have faced in the past.

Hinata:

Ohh…

Tsunade:

Another terrible threat, huh? And Shizune wonders why I drink so much.

Power Girl:

Great evil, huh? What is it this time? Darkseid? The Anti-Monitor? Superpowerful lunatic from another dimension?

Android 18:

Joy. Another world-threatening event. Sounds like a day ending in "Y" to me.

Tusyu

To quell this rising tide of evil, I have scanned the multiverse with the intention of empowering a select number of heroes from each of the imperiled worlds. To augment them with the power of Celestial Champions.

The orbs that surround you are filled with potent life energy. Mana…chakra…chi…it goes by many names. But whatever you call it, it remains the same.

By absorbing this energy, you will attain great power. Far beyond anything you have known before.

And it is by bringing this gift of power back to your worlds that you will save them from their impending doom.

Power Girl

So let me get this straight; you brought us here to warn us about some "great evil" that you haven't bothered to describe to us. And you plan on using these orbs to supercharge us.

Android 18

And once that's done, you'll send us back home, right?

Guardian

That is correct.

Android 18

Heh! Sounds like a good deal to me! Juice me up so I can get back home already! I've got a daughter and husband waiting for me back there, and I don't want to keep them waiting!

Power Girl

What?! You're actually okay with this?!

Being abducted by some cosmic entity and forced into doing whatever it wants?!

Android 18

Of course I'm not okay with it. But I've learned the hard way that cosmic entities are gonna cosmic entity.

I've been through this enough times to just be glad that it doesn't want to blow up the Earth or erase the universe.

Besides…I'm not the kinda girl that says "no" to free power.

Hinata

But – we don't know what all of this energy will do to us!

Tsunade

Besides, we only have this thing's word that it wants to help us! What if it's a trick of some kind?!

Android 18

If it's a trick, then I'd say we're pretty much screwed anyway.

That is, unless any of you can somehow teleport us all back to where we came from.

Yeah, didn't think so.

So let's get this over with. Unless anybody else has any objections?

Tsuyu

Power Girl

Oh? And what's that, Frog Girl?

Anyway, this thing that summoned us here, he said he's the Guardian of the Altar of the Celestial Champions, right? Which means that there has to be an altar.

Tsunade

That sounds about right.

Android 18

And why do we care about some altar in this temple?

Tsuyu

That's just it. I don't think that this is a temple.

Hinata

Huh? What do you mean?

Tsuyu

I've been looking around, but I don't see any doors or windows in any of those tower-like things.

And those…huge sections of stone…don't they kinda look like…?

Power Girl

Giant…!

Android 18

Tsunade

This entire thing is the Altar?!!?!

Tsuyu

Yeah. I think so.

And if the Altar is this big…

Power Girl

Imagine how big we'll be when it gets through with us!

The empowering of a Celestial Champion does result in a significant increase in size, yes.

Oh, yeah?! How significant?! Big enough to need steps this size?!

Guardian

Yes. Some may grow to become far larger.
