Why is Afterschool Meeting Taking So Long? Fur.
Added 2021-06-09 00:57:55 +0000 UTCI've had people asking me about my Halloween DAZ3D comic Afterschool Meeting and wondering why it isn't complete yet. The truth of the matter is that I am working on it, but I've run into a significant problem. Namely, the fur on my werewolf.
Hair is something that typically renders much slower in 3Delight, and when a character has a body that's covered in hair/fur, that slows it down even more. The recent renders I made for this latest page ran over four hours to render fully, and there are still some pages to go.
So, yes. I am still working on it, despite the fact that I have the attention span of a flashbulb. But I thought I'd take a moment to explain what the problem is.
Sigh...I wish Filament had been an option back when I started this comic. That thing renders in mere seconds...
