Weekly Update:

Hey Saucy ones,

so before we do anything, Please check your message inbox on Patreon because some of you who are getting an apron either don't have an address listed or you may have accidentally ticked the "opt out of physical rewards" box.

Most of your have gotten back to me but there's still a few of you I need info from. If I don't have info by next week I'm just gonna have to assume you don't want an apron and won't make anymore efforts to get them to you. That being said, if you ever do get back to me well after the fact I can just send you one whenever, now that I have my own means of making them it's not much of a hassle to press them out.

Today is the earliest I can start packing them as my order of thank-you cards is slated to come at 7:00 PM local time Wednesday which is the expedited shipping option. The game plan right now is for me to stack packing and printing shipping labels as soon as I get the dang things and date them for Friday so I can just stroll into the post office and drop them off.

All of the aprons for the first wave (people who pledged in July or had their pledge renew by August 1st) are done. However...

You see all these patches and pins here? Yeah, while there's just BARELY enough patches for everyone on the first wave I don't have enough pins for everyone yet. Don't worry, I have already made the order for more. I also had to order a whole 'nother box of blank aprons for wave 2 of patron aprons which is anyone who pledged or renewed August 2nd or later. I thought that last year's total run of 120 aprons was the saturation point and that getting 150 of these lil guys was gonna be fine as I'd probably get a good number of pledges that cancelled which would even things out with new pledges

Holy shit was I wrong.

There are MORE THAN DOUBLE the amount of apron gifts I gotta send you all compared to last year. one one hand, thank you all so much, on the other, I gotta figure things out. Right now I've got the extra patches and pins guaranteed to ship on the 28th with a 4-5 day turnaround after that. The blank aprons and anything else I might need will probably already be there well before those so for it's a game of fulfillment tirage.

The gameplan for now is to prioritize domestic aprons from wave 1 and the people who pledged for just the patch to be shipped Friday and then start working on international aprons next week. That's a big ask though as domestic aprons in wave 1 number well over 100. Why domestic first? well for one I can just print those shipping labels from my computer and just drop em off at the post office and for another, YouTube pays me on Thursday so it'll be nice to have that extra cash as I'm single-handedly screwing up the average sales volume at my local post office. I'm very familar with filling out customs forms after these last few years and I know about how long it takes to fill them out and more importantly, how long it takes the poor sods at the post office to process them. for some reason you're not allowed to use click-n-ship for international stuff. I can reasonably expect to get about 10 international parcels processed a day which also represents anywhere between 1-3 hours or my time depending on how much energy the people at the post office have that given morning. Given that timing I can hopefully expect to just start sending the international aprons 10 a day after all the domestic ones are taken care of and by the time I get to the ones I don't presently have pins for the new shipment will have arrived.

and then we'll have wave 2.

You might have noticed there's not a whole lot of video talk in this post...

Yeah, one of the reasons why Halloween in July is a once-a-year thing is because getting everyone's aprons eats me alive for at least a month. it' gets better each year, last year being a fluke as I had to start fulfilling in the middle of a cross-country move, but it still takes a long time.

This week I'm gonna try and crank out a few scripts for indieween and I'm still neck deep into Abiotic Factor, which is definitely going to be a video now. I was thinking about making AF a 2-parter but then I came to another conclusion: given how swamped I am with aprons, while I'll still honor any new pledges for August as I said so in the Aliens: Colonial Marines video, I should probably NOT bring too much attention to that as I've already had to order one whole new run of patches and pins which will just BARELY cover September renewals and whose pledged in august so far plus a little room for stragglers. Abiotic factor will be one big video. There will be soup.

That's all for now, stay saucy!
