Very cool, I liked the use of the Teflon gaskets as I have not seen those used before and was always confused with how one gets that kind of electricity to flow in a vacuum without using glass. I was think that you could theoretically have a servo motor within the vacuum chamber to move the shutter and target around, as that would allow you to use the much stronger vacuum glue rather than grease to maintain the vacuum as you would not have a moving shaft from outside the contraption, which is what I expect to be the first thing to fail.
