Weekly Update: Woah! That's a lotta aprons!
Added 2025-08-06 17:00:12 +0000 UTCHey Saucy Ones, heads up, it's been a while so this is gonna be a little long.
First off,
HELLO AND WELCOME TO ALL OF YOU WONDERFUL NEW PATRONS!
So for those of ya who don't know I use Halloween in July as a way to take a little PTO every year by making the videos in advance from January to June and then letting them all go for July. I'm back now and man oh man do I have some plans. First we gotta get back into the swing of things though.
So in the Immediate future I've got a video on Abiotic Factor coming up as I've been streaming that with Poe over on twitch and having a good time with it. I've also got Project Silverfish on the to-do list and between the two I don't know which one will come first as I know a game like Aboitic Factor can take a while as there's a lot of exploration, crafting, and unlocking new areas to do. I skimmed through a guide trying not to spoil myself and it seems we're about a third of the way through Abiotic Factor
Later on for indieween though I have decided to be a Goddamn psychopath and see how many games I can get for a whole hundred bucks as that seems to be what so many "complete editions" are going for these days even after their publishers walk back the $80 price tag for the base edition. Here's the list I've got, I'm gong with list B since I want to include Heartworm since it's a more recent game
How am I going to be able to do all these? well for starters, thanks to the ISANE AMOUNT OF PLEDGES this year I was easily able to afford getting not only a new webcam for filming but also a second light that helps with the picture quality.
I also went and finally got a stream overlay so that those streams don't look so scuffed all the time. I tried out being in front of the camera for videos earlier in the year and while it was theoretically a more efficient way to make videos since I don't have to do so much audio editing and need less B-footage but my old webcam was ass and at the time my mic setup wasn't able to get close enough for me to be in frame for the camera and close enough to the mic at the same time. I've got a nice new boom arm for my mic and with this upgrade I can now more than easily be in front of the camera without it looking and sounding like ass.
This is what a decade of webcam advancement looks like by the way. That is an original C920
Oh yeah there was that other thing, THE APRONS!
Well for starters, I had about 120 aprons to send last year so this year I got the materials for 200 of them thinking that would be more than enough...
YOU CRAZIES PLEDGED MORE THAN THAT!!!

LOOK AT ALL THESE APRONS. THESE BOXES ARE PACKED AS TIGHT AS THEY CAN WITH APRONS BUT THIS WILL STILL NOT BE ENOUGH FOR ALL OF YOU.
Lucky for me though so long as I don't mess up too many aprons while making them I should have enough for the first wave and then when all the pledges made this month and the renewals that charge at the starts of September and October happen then I'll need to buy more aprons and order a new run of patches and the special surprise.
How I think I'm gonna do it now is that for everyone who pledged/renewed at or before August 1st is gonna be wave one for the aprons, then anyone who pledges/renews by September 1st is gonna be wave 2. Anyone after that is gonna be a third wave I'll get to as soon as I'm done with everyone else. The goal's gonna be that I wanna get all the first wave of aprons sent out by September 1st That was I can I can get all the August Pledges and September renewals sent out by October 1st and everyone will have their aprons to use while trying out all the indieween recipes.
A few changes with how the aprons are. As some of you who've been here a while know i used to embroider you names on them but unfortunately I no longer have access to that machinery. Last year I tried painting on the names but unfortunately that took so stinking long that some of you were getting your aprons in January and February because of how long it took for the paint to properly dry on the aprons as well as needing to work in small batches because there was only so much space in my home to hang up the aprons to dry. That was not only unacceptable for fulfilment but also so time consuming it ate into my video production time. Going forward until I move into a house of my own and can also buy a business grade embroidery machine I'm just gonna have the aprons without anyone's name on them. I hope having the much larger design size makes up for that.
On a brighter note, I fired up the heat press I found at the pawn shop and not only did it NOT instantly kill me with an entire circuit's worth of amperage but also it works perfectly fine. All the lights in the living room and ktichen of my house flicker whenever I plug it in or press any buttons on it though. What matters is that it's safe, it gets as hot as I need it to be for heat transfer, and it works as intended. I was even able to track down the manual for it online so I can know exactly what I'm doing.
Look at this beast. I can go up to 13x19 on this bad boy.
I'll be setting up the special printer for making the designs this Saturday and then next week I'm gonna get into producing them. I'm in a whole new area for making aprons so it'll take a bit to figure out my new workflow. Oh yeah, this is your special surprise by the way. It's a custom made enamel pin of Frisk that's delightfully hokey looking. I'm gonna start wearing these in the video now.
I think that's all for now. At least it's a good stopping point. Don't forget to come on down the streams to see my play the games for the next videos and stay saucy!
