Shaoxing
A syndicate bodyguard robot who enjoys *ahem Ethanol based fuel sources. Shaoxing's employers removed many of her safety limiters, granting her a greater degree of independent agency. However it has also resulted in her being lazy, cantankerous and hedonistic. Her combat skills, however, are undeniable. Substituting traditional qigong with internal combustion, Shaoxing combines the grace and flow of Kung Fu with the precision and horsepower of a mechanical body.
Professor Coach
The digital mentor of the Actiranger Team! Though usually present as a hologram, in emergencies she can project a hard-light avatar in order to fight (among other things.). The hard-light body is held back by its lack of weight and solidity, leading to her avatar being somewhat fragile and reducing her damage output. However she makes up for it with her impeccable athletic technique and speed, augmented by the ability to teleport and create illusions.

Shaoxing's got power, but based on the description blurb, I'd say she's prone to getting frustrated easily when the fight doesn't go her way immediately. And while the Coach doesn't have power, she's got experience to leverage what she can do, and could probably read Shaoxing like a book, and play her like a fiddle. Also, I'd be interested to see if she can generate more than one hard light body for her victory celebration over Shaoxing.

2024-10-28 14:33:21 +0000 UTCIn-universe, the incredible top aura of Prof. Coach will for sure fluster Shaoxing into forfeiting or at least push her into making mistakes. Game mechanics wise, the difficulty in fighting against an illusionist/teleporter fighter cannot be overstated. That's an archetype where if you don't have massive AoE or some kind of nullifier, you'd have been better off staying home.
