I'll be posting videos today on both channels to let other people know, but you guys get the early scoop.
For those who have been asking (and this is by no means meant to pressure people to do this), you can pledge more than $1 if you want to by editing your membership, but obviously no need to do so if you don't want.

Damn, should have pressed Shift+Enter, anyway : I commented in your pinned comment only for it to be deleted (without warning me), I'll let you judge how reasonable that was on the part of YouTube : "As you say this has been going on for like 15 years now (kicking off with ContentID). But at this point you're also the one to blame for sticking to YouTube. PeerTube has existed for years now and will never have platform issues like these because it's not a platform. Anyone can make a new search engine for it and they can then compete with each other for quality. And it's part of the ActivityPub protocol of the Fediverse, you might have heard of Mastodon or Lemmy ? (There's also the question of why it even needs a dedicated search engine, IMHO getting integrated into a generalist search engine with a Videos section would be better. But we're back to the issue of Google monopoly (or duopoly with Bing at best), this time in Search.)" And I've had people respond to other comments I've written in the recent days, so you can imagine that it feels to me *suspiciously* like YouTube doesn't want competitors to be advertised ! I've also had other IMHO innocuous comments deleted over the years (or worse : shadowbanned : I can see the comment, but with no account and another connection, I can't !) probably because I dared to write a few comments in a quick succession for the same video and/or maybe because I used YouTube's own feature that turns mm:ss into a timelink and/or because I wrote several paragraphs ? Who knows ?!? The lack of feedback and arbitrariness of it all is the worst part of it ! Also note that as someone popular you yourself might be shielded from this issue... your "social credit" being likely pretty high among YouTube's deletion bots... P.S.: Thanks for the good times, I can't say I watched your videos much but I remember that they were always great ! Still, I'm thinking of just blocking YouTube at this point, I don't want to support them in any form any more, but it's going to be a hell of a hard habit to drop !
