Absolutely amazing. I think I understand the Grisaille, but the moment I put on flesh colors, all the beautiful things I did in the Grisaille get messed up. I have such a hard time with color! Cant wait to see the color part!

Usually my apprehension while working on a grisaille is to avoid that cadaver like base especially when looking at such a vibrant and “pink” model. I believe one could start off well with a grisaille and then build warmth in the consecutive layers. It’s a tricky balance. For me that’s perhaps the difference b/w an output by Ingres and bouguereau 🤔
