Thank you everyone that participated in this competition and for sharing your work with me and your colleagues!

Something you all should know about drawing and painting competitions- it takes a lot for you to put yourself out there. For me it is an honor to be able to assess and compare your entries. Thank you for taking this step and putting your work out there into the world!

I have spent a lot of effort and time trying to figure out which drawing stood out from the rest... And it was really hard. I can say in the end, that this portrait by Miriam Baranov is sensitive, subtle and beautiful- and that it is the winning entry for this prize. It was a VERY close run thing and I will definately be announcing some honorable mentions as soon as possible.
