October Newsletter Part 3

Hey everyone! I wanted to come on with yet another update regarding what I’ve been up to this month. I’m pleased to say that I’m finally finished with everything I’ve been doing for the Cartoon Network storyboard program - writing essays and resumés, building a portfolio site, and drawing up mock storyboards for consideration. If you’re interested to see, you can visit my site here - and even check out the storyboards while you’re there! I’m glad to have finally taken care of it all - and even if I don’t get into the program, I’ll at least be prepared to show these things for future opportunities, and that’s something I’ve always sorely lacked before.

I also previously mentioned the likelihood of delaying the next Kayla Komix page so I could finish that stuff AND reopen commissions as soon as possible. Though the next comic will still be delayed, I’m pleased to announce that a good friend has offered to draw a guest comic to help bridge the gap between pages. I’ll be writing it alongside them and it will still be posted exclusively on Patreon a week before anywhere else. I’m very excited to see how it turns out, especially for being Kayla’s very first comic by another artist!

Along with commissions (which I’ll open at some point next week), I’ve still got a couple of simpler Kayla projects to work on - including the Halloween pin-up and something special I’ve got in mind for Midwest Fur Fest this year. That said, I’d also like to remind patrons that I’m still taking suggestions for November’s Pokemon sumo pin-up, featuring Fouine and two students chosen by you. Remember that ALL patrons can participate regardless of pledge tier, so please suggest some Pokemon for me to fatten up if you haven’t already!

That’s all for now, and as before I deeply appreciate your patience and understanding as I focused on other obligations. I assure you we’ll return to your regularly scheduled programing soon!

- Kyle
