October Newsletter Part 2

Hey everyone! I felt I needed to write a follow-up to my previous post and account for the lack of updates around here this week, so please give me another moment of your time.

I’ve still been working on my portfolio site and application for the storyboard training program, and it’s already taken up far more of my time than I anticipated - at least, time away from things like commissions, the comic, etc. Granted, considering how important something like this is to me, I want to take as much time as I can with it - yet at the same time, I hate the feeling that I’m “falling behind” on my normal itinerary of projects, especially when I’ve yet to finish all my commissions for September or start drawing the next comic. So, I feel that rather than stress out over taking on too much work at once, I should go ahead and acknowledge what I may or may not be able to do instead.

Unfortunately, this may mean that I cannot guarantee being able to finish the next Kayla Komix page by the end of the month. It pains me to say that as the comics are the bread and butter of both the Patreon page my work in general - but the fact of the matter is they always take the most time and effort to produce each month, and especially since I want to wrap up the current arc soon, the next comic may need a bit more time for me to fully devote my attention to. I still plan to draw the Halloween pin-up and will likely draw something simpler to make up for the projected lack of comic - but I deeply apologize for delaying the next comic nonetheless.

That said, I hope to reopen commissions by next week (after I’ve finalized my application), and I plan to open to take suggestions for November’s Fouine pin-up later today as well. The latter is something I’m still particularly excited for, and again something I invite all my patrons to participate in - so please take advantage of the opportunity while you can. For now I appreciate your reading once more and for your understanding and patience with my output during this busy time.

- Kyle
