A Quick Note About Future Patreon Goals...
Added 2020-06-22 00:12:46 +0000 UTCHey folks,
As of today, we're very close to hitting our next Patreon goal of $13000 a month! We set this seemingly pie-in-the-sky goal back when we announced the Patreon revamp in November of 2019, with the idea that we likely wouldn't hit that number until some point in the distant future. ($13000 was basically double what we were making at the time, after all.) Well, thanks to your generosity, we're nearly there! So we're thrilled to know we're doing something right.
Unfortunately, we made these goals back when the world was semi-functioning, or at least functioning enough to facilitate the recording of episodes in person. We don't need to tell you all this has changed since March of 2020, and along with having to find new recording solutions, we also saw the cancellation of three different 2020 events—where we would typically record a panel and several podcasts on top of that. So at the moment, we're working at max productivity with our respective mobile setups, and can't promise any additional content outside of the six podcasts a month we currently produce.
The good news is we won't be cutting back on the amount of content we make per month, and we've been doing a great job working ahead with remote recordings. The small amount of bad news is that, for now, we're putting a freeze on new goals and the additional content those new goals can bring. When quarantine is over and the world becomes semi-functioning again, we'll take a look at what we can do and establish new goals and perhaps new content from there. We feel extremely lucky and grateful that we haven't had to cut back on our amount of regular content thanks to quarantine, and we're very happy that you continue to support us in these tough times.
Thanks so much for your understanding, and look forward to more great episodes very soon!
- Bob

I finally caught up on the current year and subscribed. So far, it's been worth it for the Mana and both FFVII eps alone. With Retronauts finally caught up, I'm going to listen to Axe Of The Blood God in the meantime. You guys were the first podcast I ever decided to listen to, and I'm happy to help out. Thanks for a great show!

2020-06-25 20:20:05 +0000 UTCDo whatever you need to do, no complaints here. 2020 is like being stuck inside an elevator full of farts. We just have to endure it until the doors open.

2020-06-22 06:21:05 +0000 UTCThe transparency is always appreciated, but you have nothing to apologize for. Anyone expecting things to operate "normally" right now is, at best, a little deluded. You just keep doing the best job you can, and I will happily keep supporting you.

2020-06-22 03:04:14 +0000 UTCNo worries. You guys are knocking out great stuff and, lately, you’ve been doing it under less than perfect circumstances, to be sure. I don’t feel owed anything in addition to what you’re already doing. Its all good.

2020-06-22 02:35:46 +0000 UTCI didn't buy in for the stretch goal, i bought in to support my favorite podcasters. Keep up the hard work, I'm a satisfied customer.

2020-06-22 02:21:31 +0000 UTCI didn't even know about this goal so I've got zero complaints. Although maybe there is room for another podcast where Bob and Nina push their relationship to the breaking point by playing games????????
