Chain Reaction Cover Sketch

Here's a sketch for the cover of Chain Reaction. I included all 4 characters, because the comic will involve all 4, in a way to try and sort of hint towards the title and primary pairings.

I almost decided to not do a cover, as I often have trouble making them, but I wanted this one to have one because I am a big fan of GuriHiru's Power Pack, and this will be a bit of a longer comic as well (perhaps not as long as Sultry Summer, but definitely not a short). I wanted to do a few pages before going for a cover to experiment with the style a bit, especially since the comics have a bit of variation in that department between the first and final comics. I've decided to go with a bit more of the earlier designs, which were a bit cartoonier, and in my opinion cuter, although for Jack I still prefer the later design, as I feel that's when his hair looks best.

It took me a while still of tinkering with some of the design choices in the hair and such before finalizing this, as well as, amusingly enough, spending time trying to decide how I want erections to work in their suits. I was considering they're squeezed against the body, but these suits had automatically fit the characters when worn (I doubt the aliens just coincidentally made their size), are made out of a special material that allows them to function with all of their powers, including Jack's ability to control his size/density. Assuming these suits are form-fitting, I imagined they could expand to accommodate the expanding appendages. I am definitely certain I'll be keeping with these looks for the comic itself, including that detail.

Also, the layout of the cover is subject to change once I add in the actual colors and see how things look, but I feel what I have here works for now. I will be lining and coloring this cover for Friday.
