We did it, baby! The Alpha is finally here! Sorry for the long wait, but this one really took a lot of work. I think it's the most packed and labour intensive update I've done to date, and I hope it shows... I wish I could pump these faster, but each time I'm more aware of how much work things need to do something I can be proud of. And so far I can say I'm pretty proud of how ORS is turning out...
Anyway, I pulled an all-nighter play-testing the different routes and I think there shouldn't be any major bugs. Of course there are still things that need ot be ironed out, and the proofreading isn't done so the text will be full of horrendous misspellings and such (you're reading a first draft) but you should be able to enjoy it. As always, let me know about any bugs you find in the comments, and of course your thoughts and opinions about this chapter.

2020-09-03 01:55:14 +0000 UTCOk I ran into a bug with Louise and Jeremy's relationship. After the night of clubbing, when she got wasted, I took her home and helped her into bed, but then it jumped to another sequence where she knew about Jeremy cheating, even though she never actually found out

2020-08-31 16:23:17 +0000 UTCWell, I finally got a chance to play through this chapter, after having been without a computer for several weeks. And I must say, this was probably my favourite one so far. I thoroughly enjoyed every scene this update. The one with Cindy was fantastic – everything from the art work to how it was written and played out was truly terrific, it’s definitely one of the best yet. The scene with Lena and Louise was lovely, and it was nice (and somewhat unexpected) to see them get intimate this early. The part I enjoy most is the corruption and turning Lena into a slut, and I felt this was progressed well in this update. Posting more exciting pictures to Stalkfap, Ivy planting seeds about her joining the club as a dancer, the photoshoot with Stan and getting naughty with Mike. All of this was very exciting, and I hope to see this getting ramped up further in the coming updates (tied together of course more outfit changes and piercings/tattoos). One thing I thought would be cool, and I don’t know if anyone agrees, is if Lena and Ivy’s first sexual encounter together could be in the context of Stalkfap. Basically, that she just suggests to Lena that they ought to shoot a scene together to provide the content people want. I feel this would be a natural way to get things started, and it’s definitely a suggestions I can see Ivy making. I also hope to see some interesting plotlines for Ian and Allison. More specifically, some sharing options. Even in this update, I felt there was maybe an opportunity to get Jeremy involved for a threesome, but maybe something like that can come at a later stage. Either way, it would be nice to see an open relationship explored, and it would be fitting based on what we’ve seen from Allison thus far. I also want to commend the art work for this update, which was amazing. The colours were great, as were the outfits (Ivy – wow!). Overall, then, great work with this update, and it made for an awesome experience!

Some idea as well, for now the "physics" skill hasn't much influence rather than on "dancing", I would say it be good to implement "physics" parameter impact the "sex scenes", e.g. with high "physics" parameter you can be more flexible and do some specific sex poses, which will result in a greater satisfaction of the partner, etc. certainly that's how it works in real life as well :)

2020-08-30 20:45:10 +0000 UTCI got some time for some more thorough playthroughs, so here's what I think: - Plenty of character insight. So even though the game is still only five chapters long, the characters have way more layers and depth than in GGGB, and at least as good as what you can find in most mainstream RPGs. - Some nice nuance in how your choices alter the perception of others and your own fate. Examples amongst others are how Jeremy, Perry, Ivy and Louise. It's refreshing to see how Jeremy, the typical manwhore/player and Ivy, the typical slut can be very friendly and helpful to the protagonists. Usually, they are antagonists in romance stories, so I enjoy the reversals. - I like the small easter eggs when Ian writes his book, such as Guts from Berserk making a small appearance in this chapter. It will be interesting to find out how different the finished product can be depending on our choices! - I think that you have just the right amount of choices during the sex scenes. It isn't important to control everything ("press A to thrust!"), but on the other hand, if it's railroaded, you might as well write a comic instead of developing a game. - I'm looking forward to how money can impact the game. So far, there hasn't been significant differences in the story, but this time both Ian and Lena talked about how money is sparse. The game could even move in the same directions no matter your income, but that the protagonists' purposes differ between playthroughs. For example, Ian could enter MMA cage fights because he enjoys fighting, or because money's scarce. Or Lena could start stripping due to her having no money, or because she thinks it's something she wants to do. - And Lena finally got another (the other being Ian) romantic interest that wasn't either a creep or douchebag in Mike! It was also a nice reversal in that she got to act as a seductress and pursue him instead of being passive. When I did a fresh playthrough (starting from the beginning), I realized that not much time has passed. On the positive side, it has allowed more in-depth characterizations and a tighter story. But if you want some significant changes to happen the characters, you probably need time skips - unless you want to write 20 dedicated chapters for Ian growing a beard. I also think that the game lacks a somewhat impactful story element. And by that, I mean that if you try to summarize the story, it doesn't sound as attractive as it could be. Maybe you've already thought of something, but some kind of event that shakes up the story would be welcome.

2020-08-30 14:03:32 +0000 UTCCouple more: - Line 3547 of “chapter_5b” should check for “louise_jeremy” being False. - Also I think there’s a problem with the “else” in line 1380: thing is “ian_lena_sex” is only checked together with “ian_robert_sex” in line 1347, so if Lena had sex with Ian but not with Robert she will say that things with Ian aren’t flowing as expected, although that’s not the case at all.

2020-08-29 09:30:54 +0000 UTCBug report: - In line 916 of “chapter_5” “v5_han_proposal_lena” should be “v5_hand_proposal_lena”. - In line 670 of “chapter_5b” the “if” should be “elif” or Lena will make two very similar comments if her lust is bigger than 5. - Same in line 2744, the “if” should be an “elif” or Lena will say Mike didn’t cum inside just after saying he did. - And again in line 3810, the “if” should be an “elif”, or Lena will say Ian and her just kissed just after saying they fucked. - In line 3809 there is a reference to Holly but the previous dialogue (line 3807) doesn’t mention her. - In lines 3904 and 3905 “charisma” more than probably should be “athletics”. - Line 3959 will assume Louise tried to kiss Lena, which doesn’t happen (even if her and Jeremy broke up) if Lena brings Mike home, so “lena_mike_sex” should be checked at some point. Previously to line 3975, I mean. Or the logic of the whole dialogue changed somehow. - After line 1706 of “chapter_5b” (if Lousie get wsted but Lena doesn’t have the option to take mike home) there should be a jump probably to “v5lenasaturday” or the scene of “louisedrama” will take place and I think is only intended if Louise busted Jeremy. Still some routes left to play, but wanted to post these asap.

Wondering if there's any way for her to accept going to the record store date, or if there's a best choice on her date with Ian when she asks if he's interested in anyone? It felt very hard to tell what was the best way to go there.

I am still waiting for something to happen between me and Minerva; I am hoping for a dom sub dynamic with that. Loved the cucking aspect that is really lightly introduced so far. Honestly I loved this chapter. I got an error when I first started the game but I don't know if it was because i used an old save.. You did a great job Eva, all the buildup from the previous chapters made this worth it. I can't wait to see whats next.
