Here's an idea: after finishing the game for the first time, what about unlocking a 'Scenes you might have missed' menu in game? Making a complete and immersive image gallery feels like a lot of work, but unlocking hints like this after finishing the game would probably be appreciated by many - and a way of making new players realize how much left there is to explore of the game.
