You're all down on the perennial puppy, Doug. But he does have a purpose as the innocent, simple, horny jock—and this simplicity and credulity serve as an interesting foil to the out-and-out sex-fiends, maniacs, narcos and borderline rapists. I think the best place to take Doug is to give you the option of slowly corrupting him, giving him a baser, darker nature. As it stands, most of the men other than he and Eric (and possibly Dave) already have a course, dark underside. It's only the female characters whom the story sees change in significant ways. How about using Doug as a vehicle for Ashley's own increasingly perverse desires; make him into the male character that Ashley can mould by corrupting his innocent nature. Given the few dialogue options concerning Jack's past (heartbreak?), he might be the type that a "good" Ashley can mould into a less cynical, more trusting man. Doug can serve as the relevant foil; someone for "bad" Ashley to lead astray and debase. Or maybe Dave would serve as a better vehicle for the same purpose.

There is nothing about him to vote for or against. if I must - I vote for Doug because I don't see more for him than a secondary character. He is too unmatured for anything serious and as a popular junior football player not a authentic person for a plaything. Despide the fact that I like him, he fits more as a character in a game for Iris or her friends. I hate Athur but he fits his role as an asshole very well. And I hope he will get was he deserve. I am not sure what to think of Wilson. He was promising at the start but mutated from a corrupting tough guy or asshole to a spineless lapdog for his gang. The others a well written and cool of there own especially Bernard who you can choose what ever fate you want. You can destroy him, make a fool out of him or bring him back to the man he once was.

Even as a device for fleshing out Ashley's relationship to Iris there could be a lot more to him than there is - e.g. if the jealousy thing was expanded on more. I was honestly close to voting for Wilson and the gang too, not because of their characters but because the sex scenes turn pretty vanilla after the first couple. When they're aggressive and demeaning it's great, but as the story progresses it just feels like another dick to have sex with, nothing that's particularly notable - or despicable - about them really comes across when they're having sex

2018-05-09 18:56:22 +0000 UTCYeah, the question it's a bit confusing to me because, as others have pointed out, that you despise a character doesn't mean you're not interested in his storyline: I despise Arthur but I'm really hooked up in his each day more evil and twisted schemes. All in all I'd say at this point all male characters are well fleshed out and have a more or less important role in the story, only perhaps Doug has overstayed his welcome...

The gang are the most despicable if you look at it with a purely rational mind, but I really enjoy those storylines so I can't really vote for them. Doug is easily the most boring, though intentionally so. He's more of a tool for fleshing out the relationship with Iris than any sort of real connection to Ashley.

2018-05-09 18:23:37 +0000 UTCFor explanation of my vote: Doug is great for a sex scene, particularly when Ashley gets a bit b domme with it, but he is a shallow character beyond that. It's a perfectly valid character type; his lack of depth and personal interest in growth was made clear at the beginning and has only been reinforced since then. But the other guys are (or at least can be, depending on choices) main characters in Ashley's story. Doug just feels more like a secondary supporting character in her relationships with Eric and/or Iris. Tyrone would be second choice, if only because his screen time has been very limited, which means so has his development. I feel like he at least has potentially interesting places to go, though.

2018-05-09 18:13:19 +0000 UTCI really enjoy making Bernard miserable, even when I'm playing Ashley as a good girl. It's a somewhat similar feeling to the one you get when you quicksave in a RPG and proceeds to kill every man, woman and animal (except chickens, they're lethal) in sight. Otherwise I don't really dislike a character, since they are all well written. I find Arthur really creepy, but I guess he's supposed to be an old, perverted creep. Doug probably brings the least to the story, except some comic relief. Wilson and his pals are obviously despicable (violent drug dealers aren't exactly something I look up to) but I sometimes enjoy their place in the plot.
