Tushy Tushy Tushy Tushy Tushy Tushy (sketches)

Not the most exciting set of wip's being from a YCH- but you'd be surprised what difficulties can arise during the process! In fact heres one hiccup I ran into for each:

Christophe (Red Panda) - I had to redo the tail movements from the original template! The tail originally kind of felt duck taped on and wasnt reacting to the motion how a tail should.

Nem (Silver Fox) - Had to redo my approach to some of the patterns on them a few times, no huge setbacks or changes just ended up wasting time on both the silver dividing lines and the back pattern

Hooper (Bird) - Birds have beaks. The template was very snout-dependant. I dont know how that issue didnt register ahead of time but- I found a decent beak shape! Only issue is it pokes out a bit to the left on the crop spacing I have pre-setup to export as a discord emoji, so their tushy will look just a bit different

Rix (Cross Fox) - Definitely the busiest pattern of the lot, I spent more time than I would care to admit trying to interpret the pattern on their back in a way that scaled appropriately with the motion. Kind of hard to articulate the problem in concise words- but its there now so yipee!

Skah (Skunk) - So- like, how the fuck do I animate a skunk tail into this? I tried a lot of different shapes but their character specifically has a large tail and I have a set amount of space to work with for this anim. Lots of attempts were scrapped for going out of bounds of the cropping or feeling too stiff. What I landed on isnt as loose and correct feeling as the other tails, and the shape isnt quite as "skunk" as I would ideally like- but it satisfies its needs enough I had to move on >,>

Scar (Fox) - Uh I actually didnt have any issues with this one, turns out a fox with a relatively simple pattern translated pretty seamlessly to the shape of my fox's original posing. Hair doesent quite move how I'd like and I have anxieties i'm being too direct to my template- but thats what the template is for and I shouldnt force more work into a place where it isnt needed.

Anyway I typed all this and realised I drew a paw circles for Christophe and didnt do that detail on the rest of the batch so- uh- I'll remember to add that when I line/polish
