I actually think MAN OF STEEL is one of his worst films— But I do think they’re too nitpicky here and simplistic about Snyder’s worldview. I really liked ARMY OF THE DEAD (way better than his DAWN remake IMO). And I think that movie gets to what’s project is. Very diverse and anti-toxic masculinity but still I love with masculine form. The COYOTE character is a great creation that I wish we got more of. Lastly MOS is bad. Has tons of story problems but the issue isn’t “why put Superman in handcuffs” it’s “the aesthetics of this story are poor and don’t align with what his vision is”. Oddly ruff, I think BVS is a better product because it’s he’s tailors the story to his strengths. Hen MOS it’s more in congruous.
