Hearing Griffin describe the late Kevin Conroy as openly gay, and I feel compelled to mention that we know now that wasn't always the case. Conroy left us with a tremendously moving autobiographical comic published during DC Pride month that explained how difficult it was for him to work as a closeted actor, and how that experience and his own family trauma informed his approach to playing Batman. RIP to a true legend.

Their just captured my imagination more and still held on to the Bruce Timm of it all. And Spider-Man just nailed everything I loved about the character!

It’s more adult and nuanced about mourning than almost anything in the other Batman movies. And I’m an obsessive about all this Batman shit. It’s like David mentioned. This works best because…it’s coming from a drawn medium. There’s always gonna be a level of disconnect in live action to any extent.
