As a hardcore Trek fan David is speaking to me this entire time, I love it

Doug Robertson

This is about as good as movie commentaries get

Joe Arvis

On the basis of Nimoy not wanting to be Spock/being Spock-- he also has a solo album titled "The Two Sides of Leonard Nimoy" one side is essentially country songs sung by him about his life and earth and the other side is him singing as Spock. I kid you not. I own it and have listened to it more than anyone should.

Jordan Gibson

Second Galaxy Quest mention this series!! Please consider covering it as a bonus!! I’d absolutely love to hear the coverage of Sigourney Weaver’s character alone and all the Trek allusions. PLEASE 😁

Erin

Yes!!! Please do this episode!!!!!

Andrew DeBenedictis

In regards to early CGI, they mentioned the wire frame models, but the huge innovation in this movie is the one shot Genesis transformation sequence in Dr Marcus' pitch video.

John Szolscek

Griff is dead right about being dead on screen. I'm a retired stuntman. Mostly I was a henchman. So getting killed by heroes. Many times lay on concrete and asphalt for hours. Once nearly 8. The key is to be the LAST henchman killed in the scene.

John Blood

...he’s gonna love those worms, though...

Podcast Enjoyer

I’d say Star Trek fights are more submarine then naval

Aaron Panos

Hooting and hollering over the 1970s Box Office Game episode idea!!

Andy Webster

Me sitting down and getting ready to watch along: "And we're doing the director's cut, by the way..." - DOH!

Henning Wisth

When they talk about actors just pushing random buttons, it reminded me that Wil Wheaton said he had a very specific set of buttons he would push every time when he would bring the ship to warp. This is obviously because he’s a massive nerd, but pretty cool.

Jayme Coveliers

It doesn’t feel right the first viewing of this movie for Griffin is also demanding that he talks through it

Lundon Boyd

Thanks!!

Matt Brown

I must say that the idea of an all box office game episode focusing on box offices from the 70s is exactly why I am a patron. That sounds like so much fun.

James Pelter

loved that Ben mostly forgot to bully us nerds because the movie was too damn good I'm sure he'll make up for it during Search for Spock

Matt King

@matt brown, the 1st and 21st are always commentaries, the 11th is bonuses and other grab-bag episodes

Evie Stark

Is there a schedule for these? For some reason I thought The Return of Jafar was this week.

Matt Brown

β€œI have a concept for putting mud flaps on clothes.”

Manish Agarwal

I really wish I had read it was the director's cut before I rented the movie. D'oh!

Mike Dickson

now that's some world-class punnery

Jordan B. Anderson

Am I crazy or did this episode arrive early? I’m definitely not complaining either way!πŸ˜„
