I loved how they used the shopkeeper as a way to shine light on the potential queerness of both the guy who was opening the cafe, as well as both Tian and Wang. He was drawing attention to the fact that none of them are seemingly wanting to date women, even if he is oblivious to that fact. The cafe owner was able to deflect the question, but Wang had a noticeable awkward reaction. I love these nuances and subtleties.

Honestly I hope this show doesn’t bring any unnecessary drama it’s doing great and it’s becoming my favorite. I can’t wait for the next one.
