The pace kinda threw me off, like its too quick for Atom to fall in love with Kongthap. Also yes to the distracting sound effects, don't need them! But So far I am enjoying this one. The knight in shining armour Gemini was kinda hot! Also their moments are adorable together.

These episodes are around 45 minutes, but this whole episode still only revolves around the play which means it’s the exact same episode, but dragged out a bit. Plus how will they fill 12 episodes if they’re moving this fast is what I wonder.

This adaptation 100% has longer episodes while the jpn version has 25 minutes per episode but only 10 episodes which is why it feels like the confusion over the same crush took longer, when really it could possibly have taken the same amount of…screentime? Or like minutes?

Him misunderstanding she liked the same guy was solved very fast for sure lol. This story is moving fast, doesn’t it have 12 episodes? I think this adaptation is.. okay. First episode was pretty good, but this one was less interesting somehow. Japanese series already try hard enough with trying to reenact the facial expression and jokes the mangas use, but most of it only works on drawings and is just not possible as a real life person. I love Kieta Hatsukoi so so much idk if I can enjoy this as much. Gemini’s character is also sooo different from the original. GMMTV is getting excessive with their sound effects in every series. Thai BLs overall go crazy with sound effects especially recently it’s annoying. Love GeminiFourth though

The idea of confessing your love and the other not being disgusted but accepting it as the norm made me so happy. I’m also not fond of remakes but if you are going to do it wait atleast a decade and then do it better if possible. Like you I’m just here for Forth and Gemini but one of these days I’m going to have to say no to certain remakes rather than my like of the actors. I will be watching the Japanese version again.

2024-06-14 19:33:52 +0000 UTCVery much agree with your assessment. I love Kieta Hatsukoi, and I love GeminiFourth, but this is giving "fuck it, that'll do" energy. The editing is really badly done, and there was even a scene where it looks like Fourth broke character and they just left it in. I'm guessing they wanted this out the door in a hurry, and just did a few takes for each scene without really checking the quality. It'll still be one of the shows I watch and enjoy as it airs, but it's definitely not giving excellence... I also agree with your idea that they could use something more dramatic like Make Our Days Count style, but you know GMMTV would NEVER let that happen to one of their ships!
