Bahamas Speed Week 1963 - Jaguar XKE #88

For the ACL GTC Jaguar E-Type LW.

Hans Schenk was a Bahamas local who was very active in multiple editions of the famed Speed Weeks. First entering in 1959 with an Austin Healey with no success, his first successful race at the event came in the 1963 edition. Schenk, being a local, was allowed to race in the Nassau Trophy, a race only for locals.

Schenk also had the sole big engine sports car on the grid, he ended up dominating both Nassau Trophy races. He would do the same next year in a Porsche 718 RSK.

Note: I have yet to figure out the license plate reg. on the Jaguar, as I don't trust the replica built in recent years.

My search (also verified by Google Gemini AI), explains: Chassis 875511 was dispatched on the 29th September 1961 directly to a Mr Hans Schenk of the Bahamas via East Bay Service Ltd of Nassau - in cream paint, light blue trim and blue hood, it was soon registered 'NP975'.
