Honest opinion: This was a little.....50/50 to me. What was good was very good and most of this was the actual retrospective with voiceover analysis which was thankfully the bulk of the content But there were parts that just fell flat to me and these were the on-screen segments and skits. Maybe it's a clash of culture or humour or whatever but those parts (the ones in the first half especially) seemed a little "stiff" and maybe just needed another take or two or rewrite to iron out the kinks. I wouldn't take this too hard though, comedy is notoriously subjective and (as most actors will admit) a difficult skill to master. I'm sure the lion's share of your audience lapped it up and as always the majority rules. But that's democracy for you and to be fair, it's my own fault really for living in a society! The community circle jerk segments I had to skip through because to me they were just tedious. I expect if you're part of the community it's fun to see other content creators or Twitter influencers (or as I think of them: Deluded Narcissists confusing followers with desciples) but they're just of no interest to me and the more I see of online fandoms (not just RE but other IPs as well), the more I'm reminded that it's a very fine line between a community and a cult, and I'm afraid that Kool-Aid really isn't my cup of tea (unsurprisingly, tea is my cup of tea! It's obvious when you think about it) About the only fandom part that was good was the artwork that was really about it The tribute to Paul was nicely handled and very fitting so credit where it's due for that because it didn't sound like it was easy to get through. Overall, I liked the video there were just parts of it that didnt work for me and other parts I simply didn't care about. But it's not a disappointment. Disappointment needs expectation to define it and I had no expectations about the contents of this one. The video clearly seems like it was made more for the community and if they loved it then job done. I can only speak for myself and it just wasn't for me. Sorry if the feedback is harsh, it's meant to be constructive but I appreciate it isn't always easy to distinguish criticism from crucifixion. Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to go and kick over some kids sandcastles on the beach screaming "Santa isn't real! You bunch of gullible, little f**kwits!" After that I've got a gig at the local hospice to do a volunteer reading for the patients (hope they're fans of Nietzsche and his particular zany brand of existential nihilism!) Let's rock!

This was fun, and the cameos were a nice surprise. I used to think that the RE series was kind of meat-headed compared to more arty and cerebral games like Silent Hill, Fatal Frame and...I don't know, Galerians? But your videos did a lot to challenge that perspective and gave me a new appreciation for the PS1 classics especially. I finally checked out RE2 Remake and RE7 earlier this year after not caring about them for a good while, and there was something deeply cathartic about surviving waves of bio-organic monstrosities after the universal trash fire that was 2020. Great work – looking forward to the next one. (Also: if you're really feeling the RE spirit, would you ever consider doing a full video on the Outbreak games? They never worked as an immersive online experience or games with an overarching storyline...but if you treat each map like its own self-contained thing, it has some of the best moments of the series. The lack of throwable wrenches and MacGyver crafting in the later games has been a disappointment.)

This might sound out of left field but I had to stop watching this (for now) around the first minute because I'm not ready to fully appreciate/enjoy this. You get me? πŸ˜‚ All I can say is that I'm already liking what I'm seeing so far. :)
