Prologue

The world was suffering from low birth rates.

The polarization of wealth.

No matter how much was invested in children, it became impossible to transcend social classes.

People who lost their dreams stopped having children.

The rapid aging of the Earth.

Human productivity declined.

The economy collapsed.

As the economy collapsed, conflicts began.

Eventually, the world leaders made the worst choice.

It was a nuclear war.

Nuclear explosions started all over the world.

As a result, 90% of humanity was wiped out.

Neither humans nor nations remained.

Everything was destroyed.

However, human survival instincts were strong.

The 10% of humans who survived began rebuilding nations and civilizations in each region.

The biggest problem was productivity.

Productivity meant that humans were needed.

The new leaders of nations were concerned about producing many humans in a short time.

Therefore, they established the International Human Preservation Association and approved human production factories.

After 500 years of hard work, they have now recovered the civilization that existed before the nuclear war.

Homes with warm running water.

Aircraft, cars, and trains that transport humans comfortably.

However, women's rights were still stripped away.

This was because the population had not yet reached the levels of 500 years ago.

Adult women were required to marry men before the age of 25, when their fertility was at its peak.

Married women could refuse pregnancy, so their rights were taken away, and they belonged to their husbands.

Additionally, if women did not marry by the age of 26, they were sent to government-run human production factories as livestock.

They were placed in a horrific situation, trapped like cows or pigs, forced to repeat pregnancy and childbirth.

Only a small number of women with exceptional abilities that could benefit the nation could maintain their rights after the age of 26.

All women were educated from a young age to accept that they would live as human production livestock, which became a given.

This story is about the people living in that era.
