Monsterkind, as they came to be known collectively in the modern era, have existed for eons on this Earth. Much of their history before the middle span of life on Earth is unknown, long lost to time; the only known information being that the current Lord of the Monsters, the ruler of the Vampires - Vladimir; is the single oldest Monster in the world. Said to have wandered the Earth long before the rest of his kin even spawned. 

The history of Monsters is rich and storied, but for now, let’s focus on key events and information. After Vlad, came the Lycans. Wolf-like people with the intelligence of man, and unfathomable strength. Then, came the Dwarves, then the Giants. Fae, Fairies, and many more began to sprout over time, until the rise of Mankind. The Monsters were initially non-hostile, and even helped the earliest of Humans grow and evolve into an intelligent state of being. Vlad, being the eldest Monster, personally took Humanity under his wing, wanting to see the budding species grow and evolve, as he’d watched many species of Monster do before their arrival. 

As Humans died early in their lives, Vlad opted to immortalize a handful of them, by turning them into undying Vampires much like himself. The four he chose, became the rulers of the four sovereign Vampire houses that operate under the kings law.

From there, the four houses would branch out, and develop more Vampires to add to their numbers. This eventually led to a dispute between the Vampires and Mankind, ending with a treaty being formed, in which the Vampires would no longer turn unwilling Humans, and Humans would offer up their elders to feed the blood-hungry Vampires. 

Time passed, and thousands of years later, the Elves came to Earth, from somewhere off in deep space. They came as emissaries of peace, and taught those of Earth, both Monsters and Humans, the ways of magic and how to utilize it. These Elves who traveled from another world ended up stranded on Earth, and eventually came to view it as a new home, settling themselves and continuing to spread magic across the globe. It was considered a *Golden Age,* but it did not last long. All that is known is the first war between man and Monster broke out during this era, but it’s history is long lost. 

Three thousand years ago, the Great War broke out between Mankind, the Monsters, and the Atenkiji. The war incurred heavy tolls on Monsterkind, many being wiped from the Earth as a result of their battles against the magically-powered Humans and the mighty Atenkiji. In the end, an accord was reached. The Elves, disgusted to have seen their magic used for such a bloody war, demanded that Humanity be completely stripped of their access to, and knowledge of magic entirely, while Vlad demanded a place the Monsters could live, secluded forever from the rest of the world. Their demands were met in the end, and Vlad led the Monsters willing to live under his rule to a massive mountain in the middle of Europe. 

It is there the Kingdom of Allden was formed. A place where all Monsters could collectively live in seclusion, far from Humanity and the Atenkiji. Though not all Monsters decided to live under Vlads rule, and many still exist across the world, hiding in their own ways.
