hello my lovely patrons and supporters. firstly, i’d like to apologize for my silence over the last two or so months. i recently got a new job as many of you probably already know, and it has been taking up a lot of my time and energy. but now, i’m beginning to settle into it, and as i have free time on my days off, i’m getting back into writing and hopefully, i’ll be banging out a bunch of chapters and lore for you all to read very soon.

Hey, just want to let you all know I’m not stagnating. I’m working on chapter 6, but I’ve hit a point again where I’m a bit stuck with how to move forward again, so it’s going slower than I’d like. Once I hit my stride, it’ll be moving forward in no time though. The First Five Chapters!

I’m currently going through the first five chapters and making some touch ups to help with readability, As well as fixing some spelling errors, and continuity mistakes I made while first writing it. Once it is fixed to a satisfactory level, I’ll post the link here for anyone to read 👀

Destabilizing World and Encroaching Darkness

The Atenkiji societies, save for the Province of Hikari, reject the existence of half-breed Atenkiji born of the union of Atenkiji and any other race. They view them as impure, and often as lesser because they may potentially inherit the flaws of the other race they are mixed with. As a result, many half-breed children grow up in the Human world with nowhere else to go, forced to live by the rules and ways of normal Human society.

why this story matters to me.

to get a bit personal and real, one of the main themes of this story, is mental health. the main characters all face some form of mental duress that they have to contend with and overcome over the course of the narrative. for miles, it’s clinical depression. that is personal to me because i myself have been struggling with and suffering from severe clinical depression for the last 13 or so years of my life at least. it really worsened when my grandfather passed away while i was in my sophom...

About Atenkiji Health
