Destabilizing World and Encroaching Darkness
Added 2022-08-26 03:02:29 +0000 UTCThe Atenkiji societies, save for the Province of Hikari, reject the existence of half-breed Atenkiji born of the union of Atenkiji and any other race. They view them as impure, and often as lesser because they may potentially inherit the flaws of the other race they are mixed with. As a result, many half-breed children grow up in the Human world with nowhere else to go, forced to live by the rules and ways of normal Human society.
This however, can lead to trouble for both the Humans and the Atenkiji, as half-breeds occasionally turn rogue, and can lash out against the world around them. Such events could potentially be in breach of the treaty between the three species, potentially leading to a second Great War. However, the Atenkiji agreed to handle such outburst when they occur, to keep damage and notoriety to a minimum.
By the story’s beginning, these outburst are becoming more, and more common place, creating further tensions between the Atenkiji and Humanity. The headmaster of Hikari Academy, Suké, believes the destabilization is a result of an impending darkness that looms over the Earth, and could come at any time. It is a darkness with which he is intimately familiar, and wishes to prepare the team of young warriors he has chosen to defend the world for as best he can.
