About the World of Hikari

With the mundane day to day of 9-5 work life, family affairs, drama, and political unrest we’re all ever so familiar with. A world where fairytales, myths, and legends are all told to tide the looming melancholy of adult life.
Now imagine, that just beyond the veil of all things humanity knows to be true and factual, there also exists two other worlds within our own; always hidden just out of our sight. That perhaps the myths and fables we tell are not tall tales woven from dreams or conjured from abstract thought. But from long dormant memories passed down in our genes.
Monsters exist in this world, sharing it with us in secrecy, along with a race of superior, human-like beings known as Atenkiji. A race of beings with tethers to a Universal life energy they call simply “Ōra”, which grants them supreme power, far greater than a human could know.
After a Great War a little over 3,000 years ago, an accord was reached between the three kinds of Earth. Peace would be upheld, so long as humanity was granted majority stake of the planets land, and the Monsters and Atenkiji were permitted to live secretly, segregated far from the violent humans, erased from their collective consciousnesses and kept secret for the rest of time.
