Iskandar asks him to join forces and Gil says “I have had one friend and he is all I ever intend to have.” He’s referring to Enkidu. When Enkidu was dying. he promised him that he would be the only friend he would ever have, so that he would forever retain his worth in Gil’s heart. This is the quote from the CCC game: "In all this world, only one shall be my friend. Thus---not for all eternity shall his worth ever change."
