August Update

hey, y’all! Hope your summer’s been treating you well!!It’s been months since I last filled you in on where I’m at + what I’m working on, so let’s just get right into it :’D

Mailers Given how far behind I got on mailers, this month’s have been packed with extra goodies!! $10+ patrons will be receiving a 4x6” sticker sheet, two dessert stickers, and a cute lil Sunkissed logo ☀️💋 Those went out this weekend, so if you don’t receive anything by next week then please reach out to briebdraw@gmail.com :)

Chapter Three still chipping away at pages. Halfway through lineart+flats and current goal is to finish them up ASAP, but also been busy with another big project lately so I’m a liiiittle farther behind than I’d like to be :’)

I’m also aware that I haven’t been great about keeping up with my queue here, so I bought a little planner to keep better track of updates & sketched pages. Hopefully we’ll see a difference here soon LOL

Kickstarter speaking of big projects, I finally have some exciting news about Book One’s Kickstarter: if all goes well, the project will launch on 8/20!! (I’m on schedule to submit it for review next week, so fingers crossed!) This project has been yeeears in the making so I’m feeling as prepared as I’ll ever be. More updates on that to come (like if I’m even approved lol)

Update Schedule Assuming all goes well with Book One’s kickstarter, I’m planning to go on a short break for the month of September to give myself enough time to manage + promote that while building my queue back up. Figuring out what I’ll be posting in lieu of pages, but I can tell you that submissions for guest art + comics will be open for anyone interested!

Personal Updates Always the most fun part of these posts lmao. Since I last talked to you, I have walked out of the coffee shop & started a new dayjob, ended my one-year relationship (okay fine, I was dumped again), had my car broken into, redone my office, and adopted a fish. Keepin things fresh as usual. but tbh, besides the car ordeal, these are all pretty positive updates!! Been settling in and feeling good about life, but I will never make any promises about the stability of my existence 🙃😂

mmm but I’m pretty excited to start working in this space :)) moved my desk + added the wallpaper accent wall, got plans for a big ol inventory shelf, and already found it sooo much easier to put together mailers with the new room layout!!
