April Comic Poll (and a mini-rant).

Now that I'm working full-time on the Cretaceous Seas game, I've assembled a small team of talented artists to handle the comics production. I've been sticking to a 4-6 page story format but would like to start expanding up to 9-12 page shorts. Ultimately, I REALLY want to start publishing an on-going comic series, and the idea polled well over on DeviantArt. That concept requires a totally different format, though, with a heavier focus on adventure and adult encounters than vore. Vore would still be a part of the world space but not the sole focus.
Growing up, I used to hunt for movies, games, and comics that would feature a vore scene or two and for the last few years I've wondered if that's frankly the better approach to creating new content. For instance, the vore scene in Return of the Jedi was exciting (still love Oola) but I would have loved the movie even if that scene had been cut. It was cool already, so Oola's vore scene was icing on the cake. I'm sort of doing that with the Cretaceous Seas game already, but I suspect the vore is still front and center in the minds of fans. When I'm working, my focus is primarily "how can I make this epic and immersive to play? How can I make it look great and feel great?" The vore scenes practically work automatically, just by having that framework. But I digress - I'd love some feedback in the comments about what you think of an on-going series which would expand the Secret Stash comics beyond vore shorts. I'm not adding it as an option this month but I will be soon if the reception is good enough.
For April, I'll be sticking to the same trusty vore short format. Besides releasing the final page of Ayla's scene with the t-rex, I'll also be producing one poll-driven comic. I hope to start releasing at least two comics every month this Spring, if we can reach the funding goal of $1,800 monthly. I'm setting a few new goals for the patreon numbers to correspond to the publishing changes.
So anyhow, the team is ready to get started on pages! All that's left to do now is determine what this month's comic is going to be!
HOW TO VOTE:
The format is going to be slightly different from how I've done polls in the past. For this poll, pick your favorite comic concept AND select your preference for page length.

One day left for polling and we're tied. Really wondering which way this is going to go.

Something i was thinking could work would be to keep the normal short vore scenes going at the same time as a bigger series project, so the content never strays too far from the core audience. Sort of a "have your cake and eat it too" scenario.

The vore scenes would be more rewarding spread out but I’d also hope to see a bit more attention given to them scene wise, but if that takes away from the story then maybe provide some one shot vore scenes during thode times there isn’t anything vore related around the corner for the story.
2020-04-03 14:52:23 +0000 UTC100% seems like about the right number lol. I don't want to totally move away from it, I just don't want it being the only thing I'm doing. If I were going to start a completely non-vore project I'd launch in separately. I want to do something more character driven, with real plot development and story. Beyond that, I'm actually suggesting that the vore will be BETTER if it's more sparsely mixed up in larger stories. It'll feel more earned, and maybe even more immersive for readers/viewers. A few people have told me I'm nuts, and a few people have told me it'll work great haha.
2020-04-02 19:30:39 +0000 UTCIf you're shifting focus away from vore because you're working with non vore artists now than I can understand that. Bbuuuuuuuuuuuuut I will also say that probably 100% of the people who support you are here for the damsels being swallowed whole lol. I have ambitions beyond vore for sure but just make sure you don't pull the rug out from the people who donated, because I'm sure they are expecting the vore more than anything lol.
